Thank You

The 2008-2009 season has ended. We want to thank all our sponsors, presenters and meeting attendees for making this another great year for our chapter. As usual we will be taking the summer off and the new season 2009-2010 will begin on Tuesday September 1st. This year's Information Security Forum will be held on Friday December 4th. Look for announcements on our chapter news and other events to be sent out and posted on our website throughout the year

Matt Neely's presentation 'Assessing Wireless Security Using Open Source Tools’ can be downloaded here.

CISSP Exam

Our chapter is hosting the CISSP exam on Saturday August 22nd here in Pittsburgh. We need at least 10 people to register to take the exam or it will be cancelled. You can register for the exam at here.

On Wednesday, July 8th SecureState will be hosting "Workforce Reduction: What To Know Before You Let Them Go". See how to secure your systems when you reduce your workforce and protect your ongoing operations from insider threats. To learn more about this event go to their sponsor's page. You can register by emailing info@securestate.com

The Annual AITP Golf Outing will be held on Saturday August 8th. AITP has been helping aspiring Information Technology Professionals in the Western Pennsylvania for the past several years by providing scholarships through the fundraising of this event. For vendors that would like to help sponsor this event or for golfers that want to register go to here.

Careers Wanted

Currently there is an opportunity for an Information Security Architect. Get more information on our Careers page. It lists positions available and individuals seeking employment. If you have any available positions at your company that you would like to have posted please forward them to Mike Sotace at mpsotace@edmc.edu. There is no charge for this service. Our chapter wants to help Security professionals looking for employment. You can also post your resume by sending it to Mike.
